Seconds from gold, America's Lindsey Jacobellis tried to add mid air flair to her jump and landed in second place in today's women's SBX final.



The U.S. women's hopes for a gold-medal hockey rematch against Canada evaporated Friday when they squandered a 2-0 semifinal lead against Sweden and lost 3-2 in a shootout.

Like the US men Sunday, the US women took gold (Hannah Teter), silver (Gretchen Bleiler) and fourth (Kelly Clark). Bronze went to Norway's Kjersti Buaas.



Shaun White stumbled on his first run today, but put on an awe-inspiring show the rest of the way to win gold . Danny Kass took the silver.

Kwan withdrawels from winter games. A day after cutting short her first practice in Torino because of groin stiffness, Michelle Kwan withdrew from the 2006 Winter Games. Taking her spot will be Emily Hughes.
